It imagines a world where a “Red Dawn”–style Soviet invasion of the USA was cut short — not by victory, but by the zombie apocalypse.
In the chaos, survivors fled south from Deer Isle to the safer lands of Bitterroot, Montana, trying to rebuild the last flicker of civilization. But the infection spread faster than hope, and the war followed.
Now, years later, the few remaining pockets of Free America have returned home — back to Deer Isle, Maine, the birthplace of the Remnant struggle.
The once-abandoned coastline is alive again — scarred by the Cold War, haunted by the dead, and ruled by those who refuse to surrender. This is where it began. And this is where humanity will make its last stand.
